About the role#
Axle Logistics is seeking a highly motivated intern for our Summer 2027 program in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role provides exposure to the logistics industry through a rotational program. You will experience the full scope of our Logistics Consultant position, covering sales, account management, and operations.
What you'll do#
- Generate and qualify sales leads.
- Manage accounts and daily operations.
- Use the McLeod Software TMS system and internal CRM to track information.
- Build organizational charts to identify key decision-makers.
- Contact potential clients to sell our services.
- Negotiate contracts and shipping rates.
- Build and plan loads while implementing services.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Communications.
- Strong communication skills across email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and within a team.
- Capacity to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in third-party logistics.
