About the role#
We are looking for a full-time Student Accounts Specialist to join our Campus Scholars team. You will handle ledger card charges, student billing, and collections. This role requires managing account prorations and ensuring all financial records are accurate.
What you'll do#
- Package payment plans and set up automatic payment reminders for students.
- Post student payments and answer questions regarding payment plans.
- Review and post charges following the add/drop period.
- Notify Student Success Coaches when payments are two months overdue or if final term payments remain outstanding.
- Coordinate with the Financial Aid team to update packaging for underfunded students.
- Prepare for new academic years by identifying students who need new payment plans.
- Process student account prorations.
What you'll need#
- A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a student accounts role within a college or university.
- At least 1 year of experience working in financial aid.
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications.
Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You will work from the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work on Monday and Friday.
