About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in winemaking and spirits distillation. You will spend five to six months working alongside professionals at our production site in Modesto. Interns contribute to corporate initiatives and research projects, with the expectation of presenting their findings to our management team at the end of the term. This role is full-time and requires on-site attendance from January through July 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage bench-scale trials to troubleshoot current production issues.
- Evaluate process improvements for the spirits portfolio.
- Monitor fermentation and distillation facilities during harvest.
- Participate in spirits and wine tasting and sensory evaluation.
- Conduct product evaluations and trials, including sample acquisition and fermentation monitoring.
- Perform fining, blending, and other winemaking trials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, or Engineering.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work at heights of 50 feet when inspecting tank surfaces.
