About the role#
As a Substation Civil/Structural Engineering Intern, you will work on power projects that help shape how electricity is transmitted and delivered. You will work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to reliable, resilient, and sustainable power systems. This role offers real-world experience and the opportunity to connect with company leaders and recent graduates through mentoring programs.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to project tasks.
- Complete assignments under the direct supervision of a professional engineer or Project Manager.
- Contribute to the development of power infrastructure.
- Perform other duties as required to support the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program, specifically in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 2 years completed toward your degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in software packages related to your field of study.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A commitment to participating in an employee-owned culture.

- Location: Saint Louis Park, Minnesota.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The position requires on-site work.
- Preference is given to local candidates.
