About the role#
Lincoln International is seeking Summer Associates for our M&A practice. This role provides exposure to our global team and allows you to work directly with senior bankers and client executives. You will be involved in every aspect of M&A transactions, gaining experience in deal execution from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial analysis and valuations.
- Conduct industry research.
- Identify and contact potential buyers or acquisition targets.
- Prepare confidential information memoranda and management presentations.
- Host visits for potential buyers at client facilities.
- Support senior bankers in negotiations.
- Assist during the due diligence and closing process.
- Prepare materials for new business meetings and contribute to internal firm development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a top-tier MBA program with a 2028 graduation date.
- Fluency in accounting and finance with strong business acumen.
- Outstanding academic record.
- Assertive and self-motivated personality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preference for candidates with prior M&A, capital raising, or investment banking experience.

- Locations: Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. Employees work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays.
- Employment Status: Full-time and paid.
