About the role#
The Store Analytics Internship is an 11-week program designed to provide a well-rounded retail education. You will work with the Store Analytics team to improve store productivity and operations through data and reporting. This role involves exposure to store support, labor analytics, and information technology.
What you'll do#
- Drive operational improvements by developing and using data, analytics, and reporting.
- Assist in enhancing the store operations reporting strategy through daily reviews and ad hoc report creation.
- Partner with IT to create and update reporting tools.
- Implement analytical techniques, scorecards, and advanced models to measure performance and solve complex business problems.
- Communicate results to stakeholders and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Participate in professional development, training, networking events, and final presentations to senior executives.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Python, SQL, Databricks, Alteryx, Power BI, or ETL processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an active curiosity for digging into data.
- Ability to build positive relationships with team members and leadership.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A customer-focused mindset.
