About the role#
Nokia is hiring for a Test Automation intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position based in Ottawa. You will gain experience across various aspects of telecommunications testing while taking on delegated tasks to build your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Write scripts and applications using XML, REST, JavaScript, and Perl to simulate network scenarios and management activities.
- Develop and run test plans to validate product functionality.
- Investigate product defects found during testing.
- Maintain regression and performance test beds, publish results, and build new test functionality.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field at an accredited school in Canada.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Perl, XML, and JS.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies.
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
- Helpful experience includes working with Git, IDEs, Jira, Teams, Linux, Windows, Virtual Machines, and general networking or telecommunications knowledge.
