About the role#
PRIME AE Group is seeking an Engineering Intern for our Water/Wastewater team in Lexington. This role is for students who want hands-on experience with land development and infrastructure projects. You will work with experienced engineers on commercial, municipal, and residential developments. This position offers exposure to the planning, design, and construction processes used in our daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist project teams with the preparation of plans, exhibits, reports, and construction documents.
- Support engineers with technical calculations, quantity estimates, and project analyses.
- Help design site, utility, drainage, grading, and stormwater infrastructure.
- Conduct research and gather data to support engineering studies.
- Participate in field visits and observe construction activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Status as a rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other engineering design software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A valid driver's license.
