About the role#
Ryan Specialty is looking for a Business Development Intern to join our Benefits sales team. This role offers hands-on experience in the specialty insurance industry by combining sales support with data analytics. You will work on projects that directly impact our growth, including market research, lead generation, and process optimization. This is a paid, full-time remote position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Support the sales team by gathering, organizing, and analyzing data using Excel and AI-enabled tools.
- Conduct market research on prospective clients and identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain prospect databases, pipeline reports, and sales dashboards.
- Prepare client-facing presentations, sales materials, and business communications.
- Participate in lead generation initiatives through prospect identification.
- Collaborate with sales leaders on strategic projects and process improvement efforts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Sales, Data Analytics, Risk Management, or Insurance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
