About the role#
Springs Window Fashions is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Long Island City, New York. You will work within our Engineering team to support project goals while gaining professional experience in the manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a mentor to apply AI and ML concepts to the MechoNet Commissioning Tool.
- Develop code to troubleshoot networks using address tables.
- Interface with the SolarTrac Commissioning Tool.
- Create and test design specifications.
- Assemble prototypes and perform testing.
- Establish standard operating procedures for test processes and document your results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program, preferably as a Sophomore or Junior.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. A Software Engineering major is preferred.
- Previous internship experience in a relevant function is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
