About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join an agile team to build systems that support our software products. You will contribute to our image and video ecosystem and see your work go live regularly. You will have a voice in team decisions and work closely with User Experience Designers and Product Managers to solve customer needs. Your daily tasks include programming, estimating upcoming work, and reviewing completed work with your teammates. You will also have time to advance your skills with support from your manager and programming lead.
What you'll do#
- Participate in an agile team environment.
- Write code and test solutions to ensure quality.
- Estimate upcoming tasks and projects.
- Collaborate with teammates to review completed work.
- Partner with User Experience Designers and Product Managers to address customer requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in at least 6 undergraduate or 3 graduate credits in Computer Science or a closely related field for summer or fall 2027.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
- Experience with C++, C#, TypeScript, Objective-C, Swift, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with AI tools in software development.
- Software development experience from internships, school, or personal projects.
- Familiarity with git source control and team collaboration.
- Experience with at least three of the following: C#, C++, Swift, or TypeScript; writing automated tests; cloud providers like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud; CI/CD, containers, or Kubernetes; native Windows or macOS development; or collaborative quality practices like pull requests and pairing.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment.

- Location: East Lansing, Michigan.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
- Schedule: Minimum of 12 hours per week, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week, determined by agreement with your supervisor.
