About the role#
We are seeking a Business Operations Intern to support our Security Services (S2) Operations team. This role provides hands-on exposure to employee engagement programs, internal communications, and operational process improvement. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help maintain internal systems, and support initiatives focused on efficiency and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning and supporting employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Help maintain trackers, documentation, and workflows for engagement activities.
- Assist with onboarding coordination for new hires within the S2 organization.
- Support the creation and distribution of internal newsletters, announcements, and updates.
- Document existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Track engagement and operational metrics using spreadsheets or dashboards.
- Assist with maintaining SOPs, standards documents, and audit checklists.
- Research opportunities to improve workflows using automation or AI tools.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Operations, Human Resources, Communications, Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.

- This position is based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
