    About the role#

    As a Radiation Effects Engineer Intern, you will support the modeling, analysis, and electrical testing of spacecraft hardware. You will characterize electrical component degradation and execute hardware testing at laboratories across the country. This role involves working directly with space vehicle systems to ensure they operate correctly in radiation environments.

    What you'll do#

    • Evaluate and test fault-tolerant electrical systems.
    • Create electrical test plans, develop test fixtures, and document test activities.
    • Support radiation testing campaigns for TID and SEE, including parametric characterization.
    • Work across disciplines to inform team decisions regarding radiation considerations.
    • Support early-stage development tasks such as breadboarding electrical circuits and fabricating cable harnesses.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.
    • Proficiency with electronics lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
    • Experience with Altium Designer or other PCB design software.
    • Ability to design, build, and test electrical hardware from scratch.
    • US Citizenship or Green Card status.

    • Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
    • Status: Full-time internship with sponsorship available.
