About the role#
This 12-week summer internship provides hands-on experience within the Capital Development technical function. You will join a multidisciplinary team to work on real projects that deliver tangible benefits and measurable results. Throughout the program, you will gain exposure to the design, construction, and maintenance of wells used to extract hydrocarbons. Interns may have the opportunity to go offshore, which requires completing specific safety and emergency response training.
What you'll do#
- Work on projects that deliver measurable results.
- Gain exposure to how we design, construct, troubleshoot, and optimize wells.
- Troubleshoot in real time during well construction and adjust plans as needed.
- Design how wells are prepared for production and optimize flow.
- Maximize well life by extending production while maintaining safety and efficiency.
- Participate in networking events, training, and performance assessments.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
- Availability to start the 12-week internship on either May 17, 2027, or June 14, 2027.
