About the role#
QTS Data Centers is offering a summer internship for students interested in visual storytelling and media production. You will work on projects that support our marketing and communications teams, capturing the day-to-day operations and growth of our data centers. This program includes a formal orientation, weekly lunch and learns, site-based activities, and social events.
What you'll do#
- Capture photo and video content at company events, project sites, and interviews.
- Assist with video editing, audio enhancement, and color correction.
- Organize and maintain digital media libraries to keep assets accessible.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop visual content for campaigns.
- Create short-form clips and assets for social media and internal communications.
- Handle pre-production tasks like equipment preparation, shot lists, and scheduling.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, or Human Resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- You must be a US Citizen.
- Current full-time enrollment in a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school or one of our partner institutions: Auburn University, Kansas State University, Georgia State University, Southern Adventist University, Texas A&M University, or the University of Kansas.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in a related industry is preferred.
- Experience with data tools like Tableau or Power BI and programming languages like Python or Java is a plus.
- Involvement in community activities such as athletics, volunteering, or clubs.

- This role is based in Overland Park, Kansas.
- The position is on-site and full-time for Summer 2027.
- This is a paid internship.
