    About the role#

    As a Project Engineering Student, you will join the Oil Sands Projects team. You will gain experience in the design, construction, modification, and optimization of oil and gas facilities. This role provides exposure to the equipment and process designs used in our operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Apply engineering principles using tools like Excel, Power BI, and WinEst to support cost estimates.
    • Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs.
    • Develop estimating reports, databases, and analytical tools.
    • Participate in team meetings to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to learn about project development and cost management.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, specifically Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Civil-Structural, Electrical, or Energy disciplines.
    • A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license.
    • An interest in oil and gas facilities.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Calgary, Alberta (Head Office).
    • Term: 12 months starting January 2027.
    • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
    • Status: This is a paid, full-time position.
    • Safety: This is a safety sensitive position.
