    About the role#

    Caring Transitions of Hendersonville is hiring a Part-Time Relocation Specialist to assist seniors with downsizing, moving, and settling into new homes. This role offers a flexible daytime schedule, typically between 9 AM and 3 PM, making it suitable for students or parents. You will perform active, hands-on work throughout the Hendersonville, Asheville, Mills River, Candler, and Fletcher areas.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist seniors with packing, unpacking, and organizing to ensure a smooth transition into their new living spaces.
    • Sort, photograph, and prepare household items for estate sales, online auctions, donations, or recycling.
    • Help with the logistics of item pickup, cataloging, and coordinating shipments.

    What you'll need#

    • A compassionate and reliable nature with strong communication skills.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
    • You must be at least 18 years old.
    • A valid driver license, reliable transportation, and a smartphone are required.
    • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
    • Preferred academic backgrounds include Human Resources, Logistics, Sociology, or Psychology.

    • This is an on-site, part-time position based in Asheville, North Carolina.
    • The role is paid and follows a rolling recruitment schedule.
