About the role#
The Analyst Rotation Program is a two-year journey designed to introduce you to the CarMax analyst community. You will complete three eight-month rotations across various teams, gaining organization-wide context and building skills in analytics, strategy, and communication. The cohort begins in Summer 2027. You will work alongside a community of over 200 analysts, sharing experiences and building professional relationships throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data to solve unique business challenges and create insights.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to deploy insights and shape strategies.
- Use presentation and communication skills to share findings and effect change.
- Tackle diverse business problems during each rotation to deepen your understanding of operations.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an analytical or quantitative major such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in an analytical role.
- Relevant project work or internship experience.
- Proficiency with computers and database systems or software packages.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location & details#
This position is based in Richmond, Virginia. You will work on-site four days per week.
