About the role#
Caterpillar is hiring Manufacturing and Supply Chain interns for the Summer 2027 term. This program provides students with project-based work alongside manufacturing professionals. You will gain hands-on experience, network with management, and develop professional skills through team and business partner interactions. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week assignment lasting 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Work with manufacturing professionals to learn and apply project work.
- Analyze non-conformance data and maintain quality system documentation.
- Collect and research data on customer experience with robotic platforms.
- Assist in the verification and validation process of robotic tools.
- Conduct presentations and measure success through performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with team members on equipment reliability and process modifications.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a 4-year university pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer, or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 30 completed semester hours before the start of the internship.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.8/4.0.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to relocate to the assigned work location for the duration of the internship.
- Ability to work on-site five days per week.
