About the role#
This internship position is based in the Finance, Governance and Strategic Services department at the CATSA headquarters in Ottawa. You will support the accounting team during the fall 2026 term, from September 26 to December 31, 2026. This is a paid, part-time role at 22.5 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Receive and compile accounts payable documents such as invoices, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Process transactions for goods, services, travel, and other expenses.
- Enter invoice data into the Great Plains financial system.
- Provide frontline support to employees using the travel management system, including help with bookings and expense claims.
- Collect and distribute office mail.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college program related to accounting or business.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Professionalism and the ability to work well within a team.
- Experience in a financial environment or with accounts payable processes is an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains is an asset.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a reliability security clearance.
- You must be returning to studies within the next year.
- English is essential for this role.

- Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Headquarters).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Salary: $18.15 to $30.20 per hour, depending on your level of study.
