    About the role#

    The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority is hiring a student for the Service Delivery branch. This position runs from September 26, 2026, to December 31, 2026, at 25 hours per week. You will work in a hybrid capacity at our head office in Ottawa.

    What you'll do#

    • Research and analyze operational issues and performance reports to identify trends.
    • Propose solutions for site-specific or national operational challenges.
    • Present your findings and recommendations through briefing notes and formal presentations.
    • Help plan, develop, and execute national strategies for aviation security screening.
    • Work with regional staff and project teams to support the delivery of screening operations and pilot projects.
    • Assist team members with daily tasks and multifunctional initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a college diploma or university degree program relevant to the role.
    • Status as a full or part-time student who will return to studies in the next academic year.
    • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
    • Ability to research, write, and communicate effectively.
    • Capability to plan, organize, and prioritize work while managing multiple tasks.
    • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a reliability security clearance.
    • Relevant fields of study include Business Administration, Economics, Operations Management, Public Health, Logistics, and Criminal Justice.

    • Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid).
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Language requirement: English essential.
