About the role#
Cenovus Energy is hiring students for a 4-month Co-Op term in Toledo, Ohio, starting in May 2027. This program provides hands-on experience through meaningful projects and mentorship. You will work alongside professionals to gain technical and business skills. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
Your specific responsibilities depend on your assigned department and major. You may work in areas including:
- Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical/Instrumentation, Environmental, Civil): Analyze process, environmental, and safety data to support performance improvements. Support equipment reliability through inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning. Assist with the design, installation, and upgrade of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Accounting & Finance: Support accounting and financial reporting activities. Assist with month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Supply Chain Management: Analyze supply chain and inventory data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Assist with material planning and procurement processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Returning to full-time studies after the work term.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. full-time.
- Solid analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
