About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will work on-site at our Claremore facility. This position is part of our Summer 2027 Internship Program and reports to the Chief Engineer. You will gain hands-on experience by leading projects, monitoring operating parameters, and ensuring safety compliance in a safety-sensitive environment.
What you'll do#
- Lead projects from start to finish and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Gather process information and perform engineering calculations.
- Analyze trends and maintain turbine and compressor efficiencies.
- Track data including machine tribology, cooling water surveys, catalyst surveys, DCS trends, and lab results.
- Assist Process and Reliability Engineers with daily tasks.
- Initiate and follow up on Management of Change (MOC) submittals.
- Organize Process Safety Information for technicians and participate in Process Hazard Analyses.
- Develop and review Mechanical Integrity Procedures.
- Present project results and recommendations to the team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program.
- Ability to communicate ideas through verbal and written presentations.
- Familiarity with Process Safety Management.
