About the role#
CNA is hiring interns for a Data Engineering program. You will work on strategic data applications throughout the software development lifecycle. This program provides hands-on experience with technology projects and exposure to the insurance industry. You will be paired with a manager and a mentor for guidance, performance coaching, and feedback. Interns may be considered for full-time placement after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and integrate high-priority data applications.
- Build large-scale data processing systems and data lakes on Google Cloud Platform.
- Apply technical knowledge to data modeling and engineering best practices.
- Participate in the design of complex physical data models and cloud-based data lake constructs.
- Collaborate with experienced developers using Agile methodology.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, senior, or first-year Master's student.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.00 GPA in both overall and major studies.
- At least 1 year of coding proficiency in Python, R, or SQL.
- Working knowledge of relational database concepts.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
