    About the role#

    Covestro is hiring an Operations Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site in Wilmington, Massachusetts, to support our manufacturing operations. This full-time, paid internship offers hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the analysis, design, and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
    • Support the implementation and testing of process improvements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process-related issues and develop corrective actions.
    • Participate in the development and maintenance of documentation, such as piping and instrumentation diagrams, standard operating procedures, and root cause analysis.
    • Collect and analyze data to support process improvement initiatives.
    • Assist in the integration and optimization of the Distributed Control System (DCS) controls, including programming, testing, and monitoring system performance.
    • Participate in safety audits to help maintain a safe work environment.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Completion of your freshman year by the start of the internship.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is strongly preferred.

    • Location: Wilmington, MA.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $23.68 to $29.21 per hour.
