About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for foreign pharmacy graduates looking to complete their required US internship hours. You will work on-site to bridge your international education with real-world practice, preparing for a future role as a licensed pharmacist. This program requires you to complete your internship hours within 18 months and obtain pharmacist licensure in Washington state within 120 days of finishing your hours.
What you'll do#
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations like production, pick-up, and drop-off to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Complete inventory tasks such as cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and putting away medication deliveries.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Engage with patients to provide caring service, solve problems, and assist with immunizations where permitted by law.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- FPGEC certification.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Commitment to obtaining pharmacist licensure in Washington state within 120 days of completing your required US intern hours.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
