About the role#
This position is designed for foreign pharmacy graduates to complete their required US internship hours. You will apply your didactic training to real-world practice while preparing for a full Pharmacist role. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to develop your clinical and leadership skills, ensuring pharmacy operations run efficiently and safely.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and performing cycle counts.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Support immunizations by completing Technician Immunizer status training.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- FPGEC certification.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to obtain Pharmacist licensure in the state of practice within 120 days of completing US intern hours.
