About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on deepening your understanding of patient safety, quality assurance, and pharmacy professional standards.
What you'll do#
- Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, including filling prescriptions safely and accurately.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation, such as production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Demonstrate empathy and provide caring service to contribute to positive patient experiences.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities, including cycle counts and putting away deliveries.
- Support immunizations as a Technician Immunizer, which includes educating patients, obtaining informed consent, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Voluntarily travel to other stores in the market to work shifts as needed.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the training program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure.
- 1+ years of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, and stoop to move items.
- Strong mathematical reasoning, problem resolution, and communication skills.

- Compensation: $24.25 - $42.00 per hour.
