About the role#
Denver Health is accepting applications for a 1-year Breast Imaging Fellowship for the 2027-2028 academic year. This position is designed to provide comprehensive training in breast imaging care within an academic health system affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Fellows gain experience through a balance of study volume, procedure time, and academic research.
What you'll do#
- Provide breast imaging care and participate in screening and diagnostic mammography, including 2D, 3D, and contrast-enhanced mammography.
- Perform breast ultrasound and breast MRI examinations.
- Conduct image-guided breast interventional procedures, such as biopsies and localizations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions and rad-path conferences.
- Supervise and educate residents on service.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical research, social media outreach, or health policy work.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited radiology residency program.
- Board eligibility or board certification in diagnostic radiology by the start of the fellowship.
- Eligibility for medical staff appointment at Denver Health and an instructor fellow appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
- Current MD-Physician license from the State Medical Board.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association.
