About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a preceptor to gain professional experience in a pharmacy setting. This role involves direct patient interaction and participation in healthcare delivery. You will assist the team in maintaining pharmacy operations while focusing on patient safety and quality care.
What you'll do#
- Manage the prescription filling process and inventory.
- Provide patient counseling and assist customers with their questions.
- Offer health screenings and immunizations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Help maintain regulatory requirements and professional practice standards.
- Identify business opportunities and support the implementation of solutions.
- Contribute to a positive team culture through empathy, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Stay current on new training, developments, and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license in the state of employment.
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
