About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between your pharmacy school education and real-world clinical practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on preparing you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while supporting the daily needs of our pharmacy teams.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured training roadmap including key learning experiences and activities.
- Assist with pharmacy operations to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Provide caring service to patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Handle telephonic prescriptions and clarify details with prescribers.
- Support pharmacy team members through coaching and training.
- Perform basic inventory tasks such as cycle counts and processing returns.
- Deliver patient health services, including point-of-care testing and immunizations, if certified.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 1+ years of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred.
- Ability to become immunization certified is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market as needed.

- Location: Longview, Texas.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role follows a rolling term schedule and requires on-site attendance.
