About the role#
The Applications Engineering Co-op supports our team during the bidding and proposal phases of material handling projects. You will help organize technical information, verify bid packages, and maintain the accuracy of project data used for pricing. This role provides exposure to industrial controls, power design, and material handling automation through involvement in live projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation of Excel-based estimating tools, cost summaries, and device count sheets.
- Assist Applications Engineers in verifying that all documentation matches the project scope and RFQ requirements.
- Track missing documents or open items and follow up with internal teams or vendors.
- Review AutoCAD drawings for basic layout accuracy and tagging consistency.
- Participate in technical meetings and record key points, questions, and assumptions.
- Help organize bid files and update project dashboards to ensure data remains current.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Excel for working with structured templates and formulas.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD for reviewing DWG drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret RFQ documents, specifications, and equipment lists.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
