About the role#
Ashby Ponds is looking for student servers to join our dining team. This role offers flexible hours that fit around your high school sports and activities. You will work alongside others your age and receive training from us, so no prior experience is required. We require availability for three shifts per week, with shifts typically running from 4:45 pm to 8:45 pm.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests warmly and describe the daily menu and specials.
- Record and input food and beverage orders into the POS system.
- Deliver food to residents and guests while ensuring they are satisfied with their meals.
- Assist with various dining operations, including serving, bussing, running food, plating meals, catering, and utility tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current high school student and at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to manage tasks in a busy environment.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Ashburn, Virginia.
- This is an on-site, part-time role.
- Pay ranges from $13.00 to $14.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Employees receive free meals during their shift and are eligible for scholarship opportunities for college or trade school.
