About the role#
As an Audit Intern at FML, you will gain experience in the field of assurance. You will work alongside staff, seniors, managers, directors, and partners on actual client engagements. Our clients range from small businesses to large corporations. This role is designed to provide broad exposure to public accounting and support your professional development.
What you'll do#
- Build working relationships with colleagues and client personnel.
- Develop an understanding of the FML audit approach, methodology, and tools.
- Create organized audit work papers and perform analytical reviews of documents.
- Review client accounting procedures and systems of internal control.
- Perform tests of internal controls and substantive audit procedures.
- Assist the team in identifying accounting and audit issues.
- Apply technical standards and risk management concepts.
- Ask questions to gather information and understand issues.
- Maintain a professional, business-like demeanor.
- Participate in company orientation, training, and mentoring activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Science program in Accounting.
- A goal of meeting the educational requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant.
- Strong academic standing.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.

- The position is on-site and full-time.
