About the role#
As an Engineering Intern, you will support operations at our manufacturing site by working with cross-functional teams to optimize processes. Your work focuses on enhancing safety, reducing costs, improving quality, increasing efficiency, and minimizing downtime. You will gain hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and real-world engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Support physical production process reviews, mapping, and the translation of CNC machining and finishing activities.
- Provide testing support for the implementation of manufacturing execution system software.
- Develop and maintain production work instructions.
- Provide engineering support for quality assurance activities.
- Support equipment installation, process qualifications, documentation, and facility upgrades.
- Interact with Operations, Quality, IT, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and conduct technical analysis.
- Drive cycle time improvements using value stream mapping and lean principles.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in an Engineering discipline.
- Successful completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate studies (minimum 60 credit hours).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to provide college transcripts and a letter of recommendation from a faculty member.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
