About the role#
Enterprise Assurance Services (EAS) Interns support clients with governance, risk management, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder reporting. You will work across a portfolio of public and private client engagements, providing consulting, attestation, and audit services. This role offers exposure to IT audits, SOC examinations, sustainability and ESG reporting, and Employee Benefit Plan audits.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning and executing client engagements while gaining an understanding of client objectives and risks.
- Evaluate and test business process, information technology, and automated controls.
- Apply audit, attestation, and consulting methodologies to identify control deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support engagement conclusions.
- Use data analytics tools and AI-enabled technologies to enhance analysis and efficiency.
- Perform walkthroughs, testing procedures, and evidence collection activities.
- Draft workpapers, reports, and client communications.
- Collaborate with engagement teams across multiple service lines.
- Participate in client status meetings and manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, assurance trends, and regulatory changes.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Interest in pursuing professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CIA.
- CPA eligibility is preferred for Employee Benefit Plan, ESG, and certain assurance-focused roles.
Location & details#
- Location: Dallas, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, requiring in-person attendance at least three days per week at a firm office or client site.
- Status: Full-time and paid internship.
