    About the role#

    As a Water Resources Engineering Intern, you will work with project engineers to develop water resource projects for federal, state, and local clients. You will contribute to projects involving flood control, river design, stream channel restoration, and stormwater management. This position involves both office-based design work and occasional field assignments.

    What you'll do#

    • Apply design engineering and modeling techniques to water resource projects.
    • Perform hydraulics and hydrology modeling, including stormwater collection systems.
    • Produce design calculations, draft technical reports, and conduct water resources studies.
    • Develop construction documents for civil design and stormwater projects.
    • Assist with data collection and presentations.
    • Complete limited field work based on project needs.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
    • Completion of at least 3 years of degree coursework with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
    • A previous internship in the field of water resources engineering.
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, ArcGIS, or hydraulic modeling software is preferred.
