About the role#
This position provides nursing assistance and support within the Labor and Delivery department. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to perform basic nursing procedures and gain clinical practice to support your development as a future nurse. This is a PRN role that requires on-site work.
What you'll do#
- Provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, and positioning patients.
- Assist with clinical tasks including collecting specimens, recording vital signs, and monitoring input and output.
- Support patient mobility by assisting with ambulation and operating equipment like lifts, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
- Administer specific treatments such as enemas, douches, and oxygen support as directed.
- Help maintain a safe environment by observing isolation techniques and assisting with restraints.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team while assisting with patient and family education.
- Prepare patients for surgery and diagnostic procedures.
- Handle administrative tasks including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing unit supplies.
- Participate in team activities such as bedside reports, daily huddles, and inter-disciplinary rounds.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited BSN or Associate RN program with at least one clinical rotation completed.
- One year of direct patient care experience or successful completion of a nursing assistant training course.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 10 pounds and frequent standing or walking.
- Clerical experience and familiarity with computer applications are preferred.

- Location: Warner Robins, Georgia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (day or night) on a PRN basis.
