About the role#
We are looking for a Content Writer Intern to join our marketing team in Grimes, Iowa for the Summer 2027 term. This role offers hands-on experience writing for a large consumer brand. You will work with our creative team to develop content for emails, social media, and in-store materials while learning how to adapt messaging for different audiences.
What you'll do#
- Write and edit copy for various marketing projects.
- Create content that follows our brand voice and style.
- Adjust copy to fit different channels and audiences.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and marketing teams on campaigns.
- Brainstorm headlines, social copy, and other creative concepts.
- Manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
- Research products and promotions.
- Assist the creative team with additional tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current college student with junior or senior status.
- Major in journalism, communications, marketing, advertising, English, or a related field.
- Relevant coursework completed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interest in copywriting, social media, branding, or advertising.
- Creativity and the ability to write within brand guidelines.
- Basic understanding of AP Style.
- Ability to accept feedback and work on multiple projects at once.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work well with others.
- Writing samples or a portfolio are preferred.
