About the role#
The IMPACT Connect Intern assists in building, implementing, and evaluating the IMPACT Connect program in Southeastern Wisconsin. This program functions as a community information exchange that connects agencies and sectors through technology and shared governance. You will work with a professional team to gain experience in human services and systems technology.
What you'll do#
- Help customers develop internal workflow processes for IMPACT Connect.
- Document potential community-based organizations and contacts in Excel.
- Support the recruitment of new partners to expand the network.
- Assist with inter-agency workflows.
- Participate in staff meetings, ongoing training, and collaborative meetings.
- Implement and co-facilitate Community Advisory Community (CAC) meetings.
- Identify and carry out initiatives to increase user adoption and utilization of the IMPACT Connect platform.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program in Public Health, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
- Residency in the state of Wisconsin.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- A non-judgmental attitude when working with diverse populations.

- This is a hybrid, unpaid internship based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- The position is full-time with rolling start dates.
