About the role#
This is a full-time American Connection Corps (ACC) fellowship position based at Corazón Healdsburg. As a Fellow, you will support the First Gen Early College Counseling program. Your work focuses on helping first-generation students gain the resources and confidence needed to navigate the college preparation process. You will serve in a direct service and capacity-building role under the guidance of program staff.
What you'll do#
- Assist with college readiness workshops and digital literacy training.
- Provide guidance on FAFSA completion, scholarship applications, and summer program opportunities.
- Support students in the Summer Journals project by providing feedback and tracking progress.
- Help develop and update an onboarding handbook for incoming students to clarify program expectations and resources.
- Manage the renewal process for returning student participation agreements.
- Maintain accurate service-related records and track participation metrics for program reporting.
What you'll need#
- A passion for community service and helping neighbors access digital tools and skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- An interest in gaining experience in community development or digital inclusion.
- Eligibility: You must be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident, hold a high school diploma or GED, and be at least 17 years old.
- Relevant academic backgrounds include Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, Communications, or Public Health.
