About the role#
This is an internal position for current students to support the California Air Resources Board. You will help finalize the California Climate Supplemental Guidance to Avoid Substantial Burdens or Harms to Priority Populations and prepare for its implementation.
What you'll do#
- Organize and review public comments received on the guidance.
- Draft a summary of comments and agency responses for online publication.
- Edit the guidance document based on public feedback.
- Support stakeholder engagement and outreach efforts.
- Develop content and plans for training on the guidance and its associated tools.
- Create and prepare training materials.
- Complete remaining project evaluation tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must be a college student attending classes during the regular term at an accredited institution on our affiliation list.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine-quarter units.
- Graduate students must be enrolled in at least four-semester units or six-quarter units.
- Your declared major must be in Environmental Science, Public Policy, Urban and Regional Planning, or Public Health.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in California.
- You must reside and perform all work within the state of California.
- Work hours are flexible, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM.
- During the academic year, you may work up to 24 hours per week.
- During academic breaks, you may work up to 40 hours per week.
- This is a paid, part-time, and temporary position.
