About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Group Fitness Pilates Instructor to work at The WELL. This is a part-time, temporary position that involves developing and leading group exercise classes for students, faculty, and staff.
What you'll do#
- Lead group exercise, dance, or martial arts classes using sound exercise principles.
- Monitor all activities to ensure participant safety.
- Respond to injuries or emergencies and activate the emergency action plan when necessary.
- Communicate clearly with staff and class participants.
- Attend all-staff meetings and pre-semester training sessions.
- Enforce facility policies and assist with promoting events at The WELL.
What you'll need#
- A current Mat Pilates instructor certification from STOTT Pilates, Balanced Body, or a similar recognized organization.
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
- A strong grasp of exercise science.
- The ability to develop and lead engaging group exercise sessions.
- Preference is given to individuals with a background in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related fields.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Rolling term, with hours capped at 19.5 hours per week for casual employees.
