About the role#
The Office of Water Programs is hiring two students to work with the IT and Research departments. You will assist with specialized application development projects, maintain the office website, and support internal data processing applications. This is a part-time, temporary position based on the Sac State campus.
What you'll do#
- Help applications developers and research engineers build new web-based software.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing applications.
- Update the Office of Water Programs website and internal data tools.
- Oversee undergraduate students during team projects.
- Manage other programming and web development tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sac State student with at least six units for undergraduates or four units for graduate students.
- Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- A basic understanding of web development concepts and best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Preferred skills include experience with Python, SQL, PHP, or React.js.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday. You may work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during breaks.
- Compensation: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour.
- Majors: Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
