About the role#
As a Health and Wellness Intern, you will support the Campus Dining Registered Dietitian with nutrition and wellness initiatives at Seton Hill University. This role is designed for students interested in nutrition or allied health who want to gain hands-on experience in event planning and campus engagement. The position requires on-site availability during the academic year, specifically between August and May, with a focus on noon and afternoon hours.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the district Registered Dietitian and marketing managers to plan and execute campus events.
- Create nutrition-related educational materials and promotional graphics.
- Promote events through social media channels.
- Support general dining services and student engagement activities.
- Assist with staff training as needed.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Seton Hill University.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus).
- Comfort using technology and web-based software.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing tasks.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Previous experience in customer service, call centers, or food service is preferred but not required.
- This role involves physical activity, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. You may be required to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment.
