About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to Clinical Virology research activities focused on HIV antiviral drug development. You will work within a professional research environment, gain hands-on experience, and participate in team collaborations. The program includes professional development events and concludes with a final presentation of your work.
What you'll do#
- Perform laboratory experiments in a BSL-2 environment.
- Collect and analyze research data to interpret results.
- Draw data-driven conclusions to help inform future experiments.
- Document findings and maintain accurate experimental records.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative research efforts.
- Present your project findings in a final PowerPoint presentation at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. college or university.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to work full-time for 10 to 12 consecutive weeks between May and August 2027.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Minimum age of 18 at the start of the program.
- Academic background in cellular and molecular biology, virology, or a related field.
- Preferred experience includes laboratory work with PCR, molecular cloning, DNA sequence analysis, and cell culture.
