About the role#
We are looking for an Intern Content Developer to join our Product Development organization. You will create and maintain documentation that helps users, customers, and partners master the Kinaxis Maestro tool. This is a full-time, 8-month position starting in January 2027. You must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a relevant post-secondary program to be eligible.
What you'll do#
- Write and maintain documentation including in-product help, technical manuals, feature guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX designers on content strategy.
- Translate technical specifications into clear, user-focused content.
- Create and edit various formats, such as FAQs, onboarding guides, and best practices.
- Produce videos to explain new product features and enhancements.
- Manage content workflows to ensure consistent style and tone.
- Test new AI tools and delivery methods to improve documentation processes.
- Follow existing templates while contributing to new documentation structures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a program in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Strong skills in writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Experience or coursework in video editing, UX writing, or technical communication.
- Familiarity with documentation tools and content management systems.
- Understanding of version control practices.
- Exposure to AI-powered content tools.
- Comfort with changing priorities.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Canada.
- Hybrid work is available for those in Ottawa or Toronto.
- Remote work is available for other locations in Canada.
- This is a paid, full-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
