About the role#
The Data Ingestion team builds tools to move data in and out of our platforms. We focus on improving the speed, flexibility, and scale of data ingestion through new technologies. As a member of this small, collaborative agile team, you will contribute to the development of our intelligent software.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop new components for data ingestion.
- Contribute to all phases of development and deployment in private and public clouds.
- Build secure SaaS enterprise software services and applications.
- Collaborate with agile team members and stakeholders.
- Participate in agile processes to improve delivery, quality, and reliability.
- Take on other projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in full-time education or a recent graduate within 12 months of the placement end date.
- Proficiency in at least one common language, such as Java, JavaScript/React, C#, or Python.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with relational databases like Postgres, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
- Capacity to adapt and learn in new situations.
- Bonus points for experience with full-stack development, dev-ops tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm, and ETL or big data integration.
Location & details#
- Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
- Modality: Hybrid (must be in the office at least three days a week).
- Term: Winter 2027 (8 or 12-month position).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
