About the role#
This is an unpaid student placement for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Kingston, Ontario, supporting the human resources team with recruitment, compliance, and HRIS implementation. This role offers hands-on experience with organizational projects and policy development.
What you'll do#
- Design a repository of standardized interview questions.
- Help develop and facilitate selection process training for hiring managers.
- Create and refine job descriptions to ensure they are standardized across all organizational sites.
- Participate in accreditation planning committee meetings and partner with team members on related projects.
- Review accreditation guidelines and provide recommendations.
- Inspect HRIS files and document personnel records with supporting evidence.
- Input and manage employee data in the HRIS.
- Assist in developing change management strategies for HRIS adoption.
- Create HRIS hiring pools and support the implementation of student onboarding within the system.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary Human Resources program.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and above-average attention to detail.
- A commitment to being a team player.
- A general understanding of the programs and services offered at Kingston Community Health Centres.
- A current and satisfactory Criminal and Vulnerable Persons Check.
