About the role#
This position serves as the first point of contact for guests arriving at Manor Vail Lodge. You will help set the tone for their stay and ensure they have a positive experience. This role is available as a seasonal Front Desk Agent or a Winter Intern, with identical duties and requirements for both. You will work 30 to 40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled during the morning, midday, or evening.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests, handle the registration process, and check them in.
- Issue room keys and provide information regarding the property and local area.
- Answer guest questions about lodge services, dining, shopping, and entertainment.
- Input work orders for the Housekeeping and Engineering teams.
- Process payments, compute folios, and make change for guests.
- Post charges for room rates, spa services, and dry cleaning to guest accounts.
- Complete shift checklists and coordinate with the reservations and housekeeping departments.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to three months of related experience or training is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, and percentage calculations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Clear communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
